• When installed with heated steering wheel (SA 248), the heating function is disabled; no de-coding is required. The switch for steering wheel heating is nonfunctional.
• No entry in the vehicle's paperwork is required for the M Performance steering wheel, and there is no need to carry an operating licence. The licence is provided for the relevant cars by BMW as part of the EC general homologation.
